Key date for customers supported by Service Pack 1.

Microsoft regularly creates and releases updates and fixes for its software which are bundled into a single package called a service pack. The installation of a service pack is required to receive full support (including security and daylight savings time updates).

For customers on SharePoint 2010 who are currently supported by Service Pack 1 an upgrade to Service Pack 2 will be required by support end date, 14 October 2014.

For our customers who this effects we advise that if you haven’t already upgraded to Service Pack 2 now is a good time to start planning so you are covered come mid-October. We recommend customers stay on a fully supported service pack to ensure they are on the latest and most secure version of their product.

If you require technical support from Information Leadership we welcome you to contact us as soon as possible to plan for a Service Pack upgrade.
