We are growing...
Six new roles for Wellington.
The additional coffee mugs have been stocked in the kitchen cupboards and the introductions have begun as the Information Leadership team welcome fresh faces to our new premises alongside Bowen House on Lambton Quay.
With significant new projects starting about every three weeks, the demand for Information Leadership’s people, methodology and extension products has been unprecedented. In keeping up, we continue to expand our resource capabilities, with six new Wellington roles recruited over the Christmas period.

An interesting recruiting process for us…
As Information Leadership has grown we've paid increasing attention to what makes an “Information Leadership person”. Clearly expertise is important to us. As leaders in both Information Management and SharePoint for compliance grade document management and intranet we pride ourselves on our ability to recruit people who are at the top of their game technically.
But this alone is not enough. The attributes of the shortlisted candidates needed to match Information Leadership’s core values and principles such as the ability to take and receive feedback; doing what we say we will; and having a learning mind-set.
This is important, because getting the right fit is critical. Our customers have told us that one of the benefits of working with Information Leadership is our low staff turnover especially compared with other companies in the IT sector. This means that customers are working, on an on-going basis, with people who really understand their business and history.
With fit being so important, directors Sarah Heal and Grant Margison, chose to lead the hiring process rather than using a recruitment firm. Asked about the candidates who applied Sarah and Grant have said, “We were astounded by the level of interest and calibre of responses in the roles from deep technical to coordination/ management and Business Analysts. We were told over and over how refreshing it was to hear of a substantive and successful organisation that had the minimum of red tape and office politics and where initiative and the freedom to go the extra mile for clients is valued and encouraged.”
