Week 15th Feb in WGN, date TBC

Limited to 24 attendees per workshop

Why attend?

This three hour workshop takes you behind the scenes on how to set up retention and disposal for Teams, SharePoint, Exchange and OneDrive.  We show you:

1. Out of the box focus: How to get the right mix of retention labels and policies

2. Traps: How to spot and avoid shortcuts that just aren't compliant

3. Dealing with scale: Options you have so it is efficient, affordable and repeatable

4. Teams: Pragmatic approach that can be applied Team by Team

5. PRA, really! Rigorous comparison back to the Act, Standard and Implementation Guide

There will be plenty of hands on exercises, a look behind the scenes at the Microsoft 365 controls and plenty of time for group discussion.

Questions & Answers

  • Who is the workshop for?  Information Management professionals and BAs for public offices, government agencies or local authorities

  • Can more than one person from our organisation attend?  At this point we expect high demand and wish to limit attendance to 1-2 people.

  • Why is there a charge?  The charge covers incidentals such as room hire, catering, materials and significant course development costs.

  • I’m most concerned about Teams.  Will this workshop help? We understand the information management concerns about Teams.  Applicability to Teams is woven throughout the workshop including worked examples and a step by step method for Microsoft Teams.

  • Is this just going to be a sales pitch?  Not at all. The bulk of the content pertains to designing and configuring out of the box E3 and at times E5 functionality. We discuss ways of increasing efficiency, dealing with scale using a range of approaches to manage thousands of sites and hundreds of Teams. Approaches include PowerShell, Power Platform, in-house development as well as Apps.

  • I’ve already done the IM>>365 webinar – what will be new.  In most of the webinars we have been able to spend 20 minutes at most on retention and disposal.  Here we have a full half-day to spend taking you through it plus the thinking has been updated

  • Will it be boring?  I don’t think I can listen to you guys for another three hours!  This workshop will be true to format with plenty of hands on exercises, a look behind the scenes at the Microsoft 365 controls and plenty of time for group discussion

  • I can’t make it on the dates, will you run this again?  Possibly and possibly not.  We have lots of content to share so we may run this in the New Year or we may focus on other topics.  It depends largely on what the Information Management community is asking for

  • We have a freeze on training budgets in our organisation but I would really like to attend.  Can you help?  Please ask us about this.

  • I don’t know if I know enough for the workshop to be useful?  We will start at the start and go through to the end ????  We are committed to a welcoming and comfortable learning environment for all participants regardless of their current level of knowledge.

  • I know a lot about policies, labels and disposal functionality in M365 will this be useful for me?  We go beyond the functionality to how you apply it, how it links back to the Act and Standard and shortcuts to watch for that just don't deliver PRA grade R&D.

  • I’m an existing Information Leadership customer.  Won’t you guys tell me this anyway?  Of course we will but the interactive format means you pick up more and its more enjoyable!  This workshop is the vehicle we are using to train our own staff so it is a great opportunity to get up close to how we work and think about Information Management
